As we close out 2023, we take some time to reflect on the incredible journey we have undertaken this year. Geokey continued to redefine the landscape of convenient security, offering a seamless blend of innovation and reliability. From enhancing the efficiency of access management to providing unparalleled flexibility for businesses, Geokey has consistently pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in the realm of mobile security. As we delve into some of the moments that really stood out to us this year, let’s celebrate the progress Geokey has made as both a mobile access control solution redefining multifamily and student housing and as a company that strives to meet companies and properties where they are.

A More Convenient Solution

This past year has seen the Geokey software acquire 12 major updates alongside numerous fixes to ensure that the Geokey app is in the best condition it can be to provide residents with the best mobile access control they can get. These major updates included:

Of the major updates we’ve had over the year, some of the biggest that have stuck out to us are the ones that continue to make access easier without sacrificing security, from being able to unlock the app with facial recognition to accessing the app from your lock screen widgets. We’ve also been working hard to provide as much support to residents as possible by including in-app notifications and a direct chat with our amazing support team.

Our team also made sure our UI has gotten a major tune-up from where it was at the beginning of the year. By being able to group together access points, assign nicknames, and be able to tap instead of swipe, unlocking doors has never been more accessible!

On top of a slick new UI and extra security for users, Geokey has a lot more capabilities than ever before. This year, we’ve been able to integrate with Yardi, Resideo, Entrata, and Master Lock to bring ultimate convenience to residents and seamless automation to managers and administrators. Through our integration with Yardi and Entrata, property managers are able to take advantage of a seamless connection between the property management software and Geokeys’ distribution and management software. Residents and managers with access to the Master Lock bluetooth deadbolt and padlock are also able to connect and unlock them using the Geokey app. Finally, as of our most recent integration with Resideo, residents can remotely manage their home climate and monitor their pipes/water heaters from the app!

With so many other updates and plenty more already on the docket for next year, we can’t wait to look back at this point next year and see just how much more Geokey has improved!

Lots of Places and People to See!

Geokey has spent the year traveling across the country to different tradeshows, conferences, meetings, and events. From running booths and kiosks to attending round tables and seminars, our team has connected with people from all across the security, multifamily, and student housing industries, taking away as much insight from others as we did from sharing our own solution. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lot of great companies and individuals this year, many of whom we have partnered with in order to expand the capabilities of our mutual programs and hardware.

Overall, Geokey has traveled to over 20 different places this year, and we look forward to more travels next year!

Geokey’s Growth

It’s amazing to look back and see how far Geokey has come over the past year, with a lot of firsts occurring. One of these firsts was our company’s first annual Geocon, a 2-day in-house conference that allowed our team to hone in on our message and better understand the valuable work different departments contribute to the company. It was a great time for us to get on the same page and push onward as a unified front. It has been center stage in our goal to bring residents and property managers the best access control solution they can get!

We have also welcomed a lot of new faces to the Geotribe, building out our amazing team with people who will continue to lift Geokey up to be the best it can be and provide our users with the best support and care we can. Speaking of, our support team has grown to be available 24/7 now to ensure everyone who has issues with the app can quickly get it resolved.

Overall, Geokey has seen tremendous growth on all fronts and has a lot planned for next year! With more integrations, shiny new updates, and even more ways to bring security and comfort to the multifamily and student housing industries planned, Geokey is ready to unlock the world ahead and make affordable access control available for all.
